Special Issue on Sexually Transmitted Diseases
in Women
Sexually
transmitted diseases (STDs)
have a significant probability of transmission between humans by means of
sexual behavior. There are nine STDs that infect a significant proportion of
women worldwide, including diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, and parasites.
The prevalence of a particular sexually transmitted disease in women depends on
the living country and other factors. All female STDs can infect men, but some
diseases infect women more often than men.
In
this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to
submit original research and review articles on sexually
transmitted diseases in women. Potential topics include, but are not
limited to:
