ABSTRACT: Learning motivation is a kind of inner impetus to drive students’ English
learning. It can be classified into intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, integrative
and instrumental motivation. According to the study, Chinese College Students’
intrinsic learning motivation should be strengthened in English learning. This
study offers some ways of boosting students’ intrinsic motivation.
