Special Issue on Chaos Theory Research

In mathematics and physics, chaos theory deals with the behavior of certain nonlinear dynamical systems that under certain conditions exhibit a phenomenon known as chaos, which is characterised by a sensitivity to initial conditions. Chaos theory came to prominence during the 1980s and deals with systems that apparently follow the normal rules and laws of physical systems, but do so in a highly unpredictable fashion. Chaotic systems can be found in many different domains; examples that have been studied include the turbulent flow of fluids, irregularities of the heartbeat, growth of certain insect populations, the dripping of a tap and the collisions of atoms in a gas. Chaotic systems are extremely sensitive to initial conditions, and even the smallest event can trigger large consequences.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Chaos Theory Research. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Application of chaos theory in mathematics
  • Application of chaos theory in physics
  • Chaotic dynamics
  • Spontaneous order
  • Distinguishing random from chaotic data
  • Minimum complexity of a chaotic system
  • Topological mixing

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Chaos Theory Research” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline

December 15th, 2016

Publication Date

           February 2017
