Special Issue on Structural Mechanics
Structural mechanics is a field of applied
mechanics in which you compute deformations, stresses, and strains in solid
materials. Often, the purpose is to determine the strength of a structure, such
as a bridge, in order to prevent damage or accidents. Other common goals of
structural mechanics analyses include determining the flexibility of a
structure and computing dynamic properties, such as natural frequencies and responses
to time-dependent loads. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for
scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss
various new issues and developments in this area of structural mechanics.
In this special issue, we
invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and
review articles that explore structural mechanics. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not
limited to:
-
Stress
and equilibrium equations
-
Strain
and compatibility equations
-
Failure
analysis of structures
-
Plastic
analysis approach
-
Structural
dynamics
-
Application
of structural mechanics
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should
submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue – Structural
Mechanics” should be selected during your
submission.
