Special Issue on Conservation of Biodiversity
Biodiversity refers to the ecological complex consisted of organisms
(animals, plants and microorganisms) and environment, and a variety of
ecological processes associated with it. It is the foundation for the
sustainable development of economy and society, and the guarantee of ecological security and food security. According to
the research by the World Wildlife Fund in 2014, earth has lost 52 percent of
its biodiversity from 1970. It is predicted that around 25 percent of the
mammal species could be extinct in 20 years. Therefore, the long-term
perspective in biodiversity conservation is needed for all over the world.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
