Special Issue on Radiation Therapy in the Treatment of Cancer

Radiation therapy, also called radiotherapy, is therapy using ionizing radiation, generally as part of cancer treatment to control or kill malignant cells and normally delivered by a linear accelerator. About half of all cancer patients receive some type of radiation therapy sometime during the course of their treatment.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Radiation Therapy in the Treatment of Cancer. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• External beam radiation therapy
• Stereotactic radiation
• Radiosurgery
• Intensity-modulated radiation therapy
• Volumetric modulated arc therapy
• Particle therapy
• Brachytherapy
• Intraoperative radiotherapy
• IORT in breast cancer

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
