Special Issue on Bariatric Surgery
Bariatric Surgery includes a variety of procedures performed on people who have obesity. Reducing
the size of the stomach is the common way to achieve the goal. Long-term
studies show the procedures cause significant long-term loss of weight,
recovery from diabetes, improvement in cardiovascular risk factors and a
reduction in mortality. However, the disadvantages or even adverse effects have been proven by many
studies. As larger numbers of people suffer from obesity and diabetes, further
research on safe an effective management is of great importance and value.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring bariatric surgery. Potential topics
include, but are not limited to:
Bariatric surgery
Gastric bypass surgery
Major treatment
Liposuction and lipolysis
Complications
Adverse effects
Obesity and diabetes
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
