Special Issue on E-waste and E-cycling

“E-waste” or electronic waste is the fastest growing waste stream in the U.S. Electronics contain valuable materials including copper, gold and aluminum, recycling these materials prevents the need to extract virgin materials, consumes less energy than using virgin materials to make new products, and conserving natural resources. Electronics also contain a host of hazardous substances. Even small amounts of these toxics can be dangerous if released into the air, water and soil. E-cycling protects our health and environment by keeping these substances out of our landfills and incinerators.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring e-waste and e-cycling. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Amount of e-waste world-wide
• Global Waste Trade
• Environmental impact of different e-waste components
• Processing techniques
• E-cycling conserves natural resources
• E-cycling reduces greenhouse gas emissions
• Benefits to economic, human health and social development

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – E-waste and E-cycling” should be chosen during your submission.
