Special Issue on
Genetics and Genomics Study of Cancer
Cancer also known as a malignant tumor, is a group
of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread
to other parts of the body. Every year, countless researchers and institutes struggle
to cope with the difficulty, but there is scant sign of progress. Thus understanding
the genetic basis of cancer development, identifying the genes that contribute
to tumorigenesis and deciphering the mechanisms of their aberrant expression probably
can contribute to our fundamental understanding of cancers and our ability to
better detect and treat them. Using state-of-the-art genomic approaches, further
research on oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, which contribute to
tumorigenesis seems necessary and valuable. These studies are expected to
identify and validate the diagnostic usefulness of genes, epigenetic changes and other molecular markers in cancer and to provide novel targets for therapy.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and
authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring genetics and genomics study of cancer.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Pathophysiology of cancer
-
Genetics, epigenetics and metastasis study
-
Oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes
-
DNA mutations
-
Apoptosis
-
Epigenetic alterations
-
Major treatment of cancer
-
Prospect of cancer research
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an
electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper
Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript
title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Genetics and
Genomics Study of Cancer” should be chosen during your submission.
