ABSTRACT: Objective: To understand the status quo of family function of caregivers of malignant tumors and the positive experiences of caregivers of malignant tumors, and to explore the correlation between family function and positive experiences of patients with malignant tumors. To provide reference for the improvement of positive experiences of caregivers of patients with malignant tumors. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on the caregivers of malignant tumor patients admitted to Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center from July to December in 2024. The questionnaire included general information forms for patients and caregivers, and the Chinese version of Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale (FACES II-CV) and the Chinese version of Positive Aspects of Caregiving (PAC) scale. Correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed. Result: A total of 80 questionnaires were collected, of which 72 were valid. The results showed significant correlations between family function scores and PAC scores. Conclusion: In this survey, we delved into the mechanisms and related factors of the influence of family functions on positive experiences. Our practice is beneficial for rapid screening of sick families which may require precise intervention in clinical applications.
