ABSTRACT: This paper investigates the emergence and development of China English as a distinctive variant within the global English framework. Focusing on lexical, syntactical, and discursive features, it highlights how China English bridges cultural divides between China and the West. The study examines the historical integration of Chinese loanwords in English, explores the adaptation of English expressions in Chinese contexts, and showcases unique phrases reflecting China’s cultural heritage. It also assesses the current state and future prospects of China English in the context of China’s growing international influence. By incorporating Chinese cultural elements, China English enhances cross-cultural communication and enriches the global English lexicon. This research underscores China English’s evolving role in the dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures and its impact on global linguistic exchange.
