Special Issue on Technology and Society
Technology and Society explores the complex
interactions between technological innovation and the social, cultural,
political, and economic contexts in which it develops and operates. This theme
addresses how technologies—from digital communication and artificial
intelligence to biotechnology and renewable energy—transform human behavior,
reshape institutions, and influence global challenges such as sustainability,
inequality, governance, and security. It also considers ethical issues, public
perceptions, and the broader implications of emerging technologies for social
justice and human well-being. By integrating perspectives from science,
engineering, social sciences, and humanities, this area provides critical
insights into how technology both shapes and is shaped by society in the modern
world.
In this
