Special Issue on Clinical Nephrology
Clinical Nephrology is a specialized branch of medicine focused on
the diagnosis, treatment, and management of kidney-related diseases and
disorders. It encompasses a wide range of conditions including chronic kidney
disease, acute kidney injury, glomerulonephritis, electrolyte imbalances, and
hypertension related to kidney dysfunction. Clinical nephrologists are also
involved in overseeing dialysis treatments and evaluating patients for kidney
transplantation. The field integrates laboratory diagnostics, imaging, and
therapeutic interventions to improve renal function and patient outcomes,
playing a vital role in both acute care and long-term management of kidney
health.
