ABSTRACT: The broad subject is the interaction of dark matter and baryonic matter. The specific problem analyzed is the effect of dark matter on hydrogen recombination in the early universe. The Saha equation governs recombination, and a modified Saha equation describes recombination in the presence of dark matter. Derivation of the latter is in the Appendix.
