ABSTRACT: Foreign body (FB) ingestion is mainly encountered in the pediatric patient population. When encountered in the adult population, it is predominantly associated with an underlying gastrointestinal pathology or mental health disturbances. Ingested FBs can be trapped anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract (GI), including the esophagus, stomach and small bowel. Here, we present four cases of FB ingestion, all surgical interventions with excellent outcomes and prognosis.
