  ABSTRACT: Anti-Japanese aggression music was an important form of vocal mobilization for the New Fourth Army in the Yanfu region. The Yan’an Literature and Art Forum promoted the anti-Japanese war music activities in the Yanfu area to further reach and serve the public, awakening the national consciousness and willingness to resist Japanese aggression among the people. Anti-Japanese war music shifted the people’s concerns from individual feelings to a collective identity, successfully developing a strong anti-Japanese collective. Music activities helped lead the public to integrate into the anti-aggression collective.
