ABSTRACT: Purpose: To understand the views of sophomore students of International Department on Internet addiction, and to evaluate the degree of Internet addiction. Methods: Use Davis Online Cognition Scale (DOCS) and self-designed Internet Addiction Questionnaire to investigate 37 students in Grade 2 of International Department of Chengdu Foreign Language School. Results: The rate of Internet addiction was 94.59% among the sophomore students in the international department. Conclusion A lot of Internet use is caused by the school system, the special type of subjects and other factors, which may increase the risk of Internet addiction in high school students. In addition, boys have a higher risk of Internet addiction than girls.
