Special Issue on Climate Change Adaptation
Climate change poses serious, wide-ranging risks to economies, societies and ecosystems. Adaptation means anticipating the adverse effects of climate change and taking appropriate action to prevent or minimize the damage they can cause, or taking advantage of opportunities that may arise.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Climate Change Adaptation. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Using scarce water resources more efficiently
-
Adapting building codes to future climate conditions and extreme weather events
-
Building flood defences and raising the levels of dykes
-
Developing drought-tolerant crops
-
Choosing tree species and forestry practices less vulnerable to storms and fires
-
Setting aside land corridors to help species migrate
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Climate Change Adaptation” should be selected during your submission.
