Special Issue on Approximation Theory and Applications
In mathematics, approximation
theory is concerned with how functions can best be approximated with simpler
functions, and with quantitatively characterizing the errors introduced thereby.
Note that what is meant by best and simpler will depend on the application.
Approximation algorithm is an algorithm to solve an optimization problem that
runs in polynomial time in the length of the input and outputs a solution that
is guaranteed to be close to the optimal solution.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on approximation theory and applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Approximation and computation
-
Function approximation
-
Statistical approximation
-
Nonlinear approximation
-
Algebraic methods
-
Fourier analysis
-
Estimation theory
-
Numerical analysis

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Approximation Theory
