Special Issue on Computer Vision and Pattern
Recognition
Computer vision is an
interdisciplinary field that deals with how computers can be made to gain
high-level understanding from digital images or videos. From the perspective of
engineering, it seeks to automate tasks that the human visual system can do. Pattern
recognition is the automated
recognition of patterns and regularities in data. Pattern recognition is
closely related to artificial intelligence and machine learning, together with
applications such as data mining and knowledge discovery in databases.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Image processing and analysis
-
Image segmentation/ classification and pattern recognition:
-
Machine learning in computer vision
-
Supervised and unsupervised Learning
-
Object recognition and detection
-
Visual motion estimation
-
Facial expression recognition
-
Image and vision computing
-
3D CAD models
-
Statistical computer vision
-
Embedded computer vision
-
Machine-vision-system
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Computer Vision and
Pattern Recognition” should be chosen during your submission.
