Special Issue on Coal Science and Engineering

Coal is an organo clastic sedimentary rock composed of lithified plant debris. It being primary source of energy is essential for living and sustainable advancement of any nation. The most significant uses of coal are in electricity generation, steel production, cement manufacturing and as a liquid fuel. We believe that greater efforts are need by government and industry to embrace less polluting and more efficient techniques to ensure that coal becomes a much cleaner energy in the next few decades.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring coal science and engineering. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Coal mining technology and engineering
  • Coal processing, utilization and conversion
  • Coal geology and mineralogy
  • Mine health and safety
  • Mine rehabilitation and recycling
  • Pollution control and waste utilization

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
