ABSTRACT: The objective of this paper is to analyze the
effects of political instability on economic growth in Republic of the Congo.
The Autoregressive Lagged Model (ARDL) was used in the study period from 1986
to 2017. The results of this estimation show that political instability is a
brake on economic growth. To this end, implications for strengthening policies
to promote political stability were formulated.
