Special Issue on Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology

It combines the study of biochemistry with microbiology. Biochemistry is the study of biological systems at molecular level. Biochemistry, and the related field of molecular biology, are important in understanding the molecular basis of life. Microbiology is the study of the smallest living organisms and includes viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Molecular biology and physiology
  • Molecular virology
  • Genomics
  • Protein structure and function
  • Pathogenic microbiology
  • Microbiome-host interactions
  • Protein and metabolic engineering
  • Applied enzymology
  • Biochemical and immunochemical analysis
  • Oxidative stress in microorganisms
  • Microbial degradation
  • Microbial transformation
  • Biocatalysis in organic synthesis
  • Bioinformatics approaches
  • Environmental microbiology
  • Biochemical and microbiological technology

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology” should be chosen during your submission.
