Special Issue on Spatial Statistics and Its Applications
The
term spatial statistics refers to the application of statistical concepts and
methods to data that have a spatial location attached to them, and in which
this locational element is used as an important and necessary part of the
analysis. Typically such analysis is descriptive and exploratory, but it might
also use the full power of statistical theory to test and/or calibrate models
of the spatial processes held to be operating. The goal of this special
issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the
world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the
area of Spatial Statistics and Its Applications .
In this special
issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit
original research and review articles on exploring Spatial Statistics and Its
Applications. In this special issue,
potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
The theory
of spatial and spatio-temporal statistics
-
Quantitative
analysis of spatial and spatio-temporal data
-
Statistical
dependencies, accuracy and uncertainties of spatial statistics
-
Methodology
for spatial statistics
-
Assessing
spatial data quality
-
Sampling
design optimisation
-
The applications
of spatial and spatio-temporal statistics
Authors should read
over the journal’s For Authors carefully before
submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their
complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue - Spatial Statistics and Its Applications” should be chosen
during your submission.
