Special Issue on Aneurysm Research

This special issue on “Aneurysm Research” will be focusing on the latest advancement in aneurysm studies. An aneurysm is an abnormal widening or ballooning of a portion of an artery due to weakness in the wall of the blood vessel. Aneurysms can occur anywhere throughout the circulatory, but most commonly develop along the aorta (the body's main blood vessel) and in blood vessels of the brain. It is not clear exactly what causes aneurysms. Some aneurysms are present at birth (congenital). Defects in some of the parts of the artery wall may be responsible. Treatment depends on the size and location of the aneurysm. In recent years, endovascular or minimally invasive techniques have been developed for many types of aneurysms. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of aneurysm research.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring aneurysm research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Cerebral aneurysm
• Abdominal aneurysm
• Renal (kidney) aneurysm

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Aneurysm Research” should be chosen during your submission.
