Special Issue on Earthquake Engineering and Structural
Dynamics
Earthquake engineering is a general term for
engineering measures taken to prevent sudden earthquake strikes. It includes
the identification and division of seismic intensity zoning, the correct
formulation and rational application of seismic building codes, the study of
structural design and optimal period, the selection of building materials and
the prevention of earthquake and secondary disasters. The goal of this special
issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the
world to promote, share, and discuss various
new issues and developments in the area of Earthquake
Engineering and Structural Dynamics.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on
exploring Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Ground motions for analysis and design
-
Geotechnical earthquake engineering
-
Methods for earthquake-resistant design and
retrofit of structures
-
Earthquake monitoring and forecasting
-
Structural control technologies and
intelligent materials
-
Probabilistic and deterministic methods of
dynamic analysis
-
Seismic protective systems
-
Seismic code requirements
-
Risk assessment
Authors
should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission
System.
Please
kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The
research field “Special Issue - Earthquake Engineering and Structural
Dynamics” should be selected during your submission.
