Special Issue on Substance Abuse and Related Disorders

Substance abuse is the excessive use of the substances that can result in physical, psychological, emotional harm to the user or others. The substances include alcohol, tobacco, chemicals, illicit drugs and other drugs, which may bring short-term effects (such as increased heart rate, high blood pressure, dizziness, tremors and mood changes) and/or long-term effects (such as paranoia, psychosis and organ damage) to our health.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Substance Abuse and Related Disorders. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Betel nut chewing
  • Alcohol abuse
  • Smoking cessation
  • Methamphetamine
  • Marijuana
  • Cocaine
  • Paranoia
  • Psychosis
  • Organ damage
  • Immune deficiencies
  • Suicide and substance abuse

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Substance Abuse and Related Disorders” should be selected during your submission.
