Special Issue on

Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Myocardial Infarction

Sudden cardiac arrest is triggered by an electrical malfunction in the heart that causes an irregular heartbeat, which occurs suddenly and often without warning. Myocardial infarction, also known as heart attack, occurs when a blocked artery prevents oxygen-rich blood from reaching a section of the heart. If the blocked artery is not reopened quickly, the part of the heart normally nourished by that artery begins to die. Heart attack is a common cause of sudden cardiac arrest. Other heart conditions that may lead to sudden cardiac arrest include a thickened heart muscle, ventricular fibrillation, arrhythmias, heart failure, and so on.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Myocardial Infarction. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Sudden cardiac arrest
  • Myocardial infarction
  • Heart rhythm disorders
  • Cardiac pulmonary resuscitation
  • Drugs commonly used
  • Pacemakers and defibrillators
  • Diet after a heart attack

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Sudden Cardiac Arrest and Myocardial Infarction” should be selected during your submission.
