Special Issue on Lightwave Communications Research
Lightwave Communications Research is concerned about the advanced lightwave technologies applied to the optical network. The rapid advance in transmission technology has gradually improved from the early phase of replacing electrical cables between repeaters by optical fibers to a new phase of transmitting multiple wavelengths in a much longer distance without any electronic amplifications. Thus, the fundamental architecture of the telecommunication infrastructure developed in the pre-photonic era needs to be re-examined. As one of most innovative technology in science, lightwave communications is of great attractions to researchers.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring lightwave communications research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
High-speed lightwave technologies for optical signal processing
-
High-speed multimedia networking
-
Performance surveillance of optical systems
-
Optical networking
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Lightwave Communications Research” should be chosen during your submission.
