Special Issue on Radioactive Contamination on Animals and Animal Products

Nuclear wastewater contains various radioactive isotopes and other harmful substances. Nowadays Fukushima waste water release has raised great concerns about potential long-term effects on marine ecosystems, including bioaccumulation in the food chain. The academic topic "Radioactive Contamination on Animals and Animal Products" focuses on studying the impact of radioactive substances on animals and the contamination of animal-derived products. This field investigates how animals are exposed to radioactive pollutants, either through direct ingestion or absorption from contaminated environments. The findings from this academic topic are crucial for ensuring the safety of animal-derived food products and for establishing regulations and guidelines to protect both human consumers and animal populations from the adverse effects of radioactive contamination.
