Special Issue on Environmental Geology
Environmental
geology is an applied branch of geology that focuses on the interaction between
human activities and the geological environment. It involves the study of earth
processes such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, and volcanic eruptions, as
well as the assessment and mitigation of natural hazards. Environmental geology
also addresses issues related to groundwater and surface water contamination,
soil degradation, resource management, and the environmental impacts of mining,
construction, and waste disposal. By integrating geological knowledge with
environmental concerns, this field plays a crucial role in sustainable
development, land-use planning, and protecting human health and ecosystems.
In this special issue, we intend to invite
front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review
articles on exploring Environmental Geology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Anthropogenic activities
-
Climate change and geology
-
Coastal processes and management
-
Environmental geochemistry
-
Environmental monitoring and remediation
-
Geogenic events
-
Geologic hazards and risk assessment
-

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic
copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission
System.
Please kindly specify the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Environmental
