Special Issue on Economic and Social
Development
Economic and social development refers to the
process through which the well-being and quality of life of individuals and communities
improve over time, driven by economic growth, social progress, and
institutional advancement. It encompasses efforts to reduce poverty, enhance
education and healthcare, promote equality, and create inclusive, sustainable
economies. This multidisciplinary field examines how policies, governance,
investment, and innovation can shape both economic performance and social
outcomes. Balancing economic efficiency with social equity, it aims to foster
resilient societies that offer opportunities and dignity for all.
