ABSTRACT: With the growing concern on data rates and resource utilization, Device-to-Device (D2D) communication has been raised in 3GPP Long-Term Evolution (LTE) networks. In order to limit severe interference, previous studies mainly focus on intra-cell interference that between cellular links and local D2D links. In this paper, we consider both intra-cell interference and inter-cell interference between D2D and cellular links. We propose a new resource reuse algorithm that D2D users reuse the minimum interference uplink (UL) Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS) resources to reach the highest throughput. The simulation results show that this scheme reduces interference as well as improves throughput.
