ABSTRACT: A case of a 12-month-old male infant, who presented a painless swelling of the right anterolateral edge of the mobile tongue, is reported. The treatment consisted of a partial glossectomy with total surgical excision of the tumor. The diagnosis of low grade myofibroblastic sarcoma on the histological arguments (tumor architecture, cytology, mitotic index) and immunohistochemistry was retained.
