ABSTRACT:
The article contains a model of wagon rolling down the hump profiles. It
deals with motive and resistance forces. These forces made it possible to
mathematically describe geometrical parameters of hump profile and kinematical
characteristics of wagon movement depending on time. The conditions have been
formulated, which makes the wagon movement down various marshalling hump
profile sections possible. These conditions enable slowdown of the wagon as it
moves from one hump profile element to the other until it stops in the
hump-yard.
