ABSTRACT: This paper will present the results and analyses of a simulation to send a satellite from the Earth to Mars. We use Python to simulate the orbit of the rocket. Our goal is to find the least energy-cost trajectory, with the least initial velocity. We find the date which allows the satellite to go from the Earth to Mars in the shortest distance based on a Hohmann transfer orbit considering the gravity of the Sun, Earth, and Mars.
