ABSTRACT: This paper analyses the importance of protecting minor languages, and the problems minor languages face during China’s social transition. It gives suggestions and strategies on protecting the minor languages, such as carrying out the policy of bilingual education; what the family can do for it and what the school can do to protect the minority language.
