ABSTRACT: This research paper deals with the implementation of suitable meta-heuristic for the closed loop supply chain network design problem of a fashion product industry. First, the paper presents a comprehensive literature review on the applications of reverse and closed loop supply chain network design problems in Fashion Footwear Industry. The research work employs the case study approach to implement the model and algorithm. Closed loop supply chain network design problem of a Fashion Footwear Industry in South India is studied and considered for the purpose. Then it deals with the application of mathematical model and a suitable hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) developed for the CLSC network design problem of the Industry this research. The MINLP model and suitable HGA developed are implemented in the industrial case as per the reverse supply chain process conditions and model adopted in the respective closed loop supply chain and the results are presented.
