Abstract

Paper includes information on population status of Conocephalum conicum collected from diverse habitats in Bhader-wah (J & K state). Taxon exhibits tremendous diversity in morphoanatomical details of various gametophytic charac-ters. Isozyme analysis was performed to find out whether variability in the taxon is only environmental or has genetic basis as well.
