Abstract
Hair whorls may be located on the midline of the scalp or off-center,
either on the left, or on the right. Some people may have more than one hair
whorl on their heads. Do the locations of the hair whorls have any relationship
with the time of birth? This study shows negative results which impact the
validity of common Chinese folklore and superstition surrounding hair whorl
characteristics.
