Integration—The Discourse Construction of the Grand Canal ()
ABSTRACT
This paper examines the discourse construction of the Grand Canal of China. The Grand Canal discourse system centered on “integration”, not only embodies the spiritual core of Chinese culture but also provides cultural support for the contemporary “Belt and Road” initiative. Constructing the Grand Canal's integration discourse helps to break through the limitations of Western heritage discourse, deepen the understanding of Chinese cultural heritage, and contribute Chinese wisdom to global governance.
