ABSTRACT

The joint promotion of teacher’s Party branches and academic majors is not only the necessary route to strengthen the combat fortress role of the Party branches and to comply with the talent management requirements of the Chinese Communist Party, but also the inevitable choice to enhance the construction quality of majors, and to achieve the sustainable development of specialties. In the process of “national first-class” major construction, this mission is particularly prominent. This study, using the “national first-class” major construction as the background, is based on the analysis of the necessity of joint promotion by teacher’s Party branches and academic majors. Through comprehensive research, it identifies the present issues in the construction of teacher’s Party branches in colleges and universities. Then, guided by these issues, it explores the path of joint promotion by teacher’s Party branches and academic majors under the context of “national first-class” major construction, ultimately achieving the synchronized progress of grassroots Party organization construction and major construction, and enhancing the quality of talent cultivation in universities.
