Analysis on the Current Situation and Countermeasures of English Teaching in Preschool Education in China

ABSTRACT

Preschool education is a targeted and planned procedure that is to cater for the growth of children, which has a significant impact on the children’s growth, cognition and emotion, and thus in turn can effectively promote the development of children. At present, we are still exploring the integration of English teaching into preschool education. Factors affecting development of English teaching in preschool education mainly include family, English teachers in preschool education institutions, and lack of support from both government and profession. Approaches to improve English teaching in preschool education include: to attach great importance to the family’s positive role, to attach great importance to the cultivation of preschool English teachers, and to strengthen the guidance and supervision on preschool education institutions.
