Special Issue on

Applied GIS: Tools, Techniques, and Real-World Solutions

Applied GIS: Tools, Techniques, and Real-World Solutions aims to highlight innovative applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) across diverse disciplines and industries. It focuses on how advanced spatial tools, analytical techniques, and data-driven approaches are transforming decision-making in areas such as environmental management, urban planning, agriculture, disaster risk reduction, and public health. This issue welcomes contributions that demonstrate the integration of GIS with remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics to address real-world challenges, promote sustainable development, and enhance spatial understanding for practical problem-solving.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Applied GIS: Tools, Techniques, and Real-World Solutions. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • 3D and temporal GIS
  • Agricultural and resource mapping
  • Climate change assessment
  • Disaster management
  • Geospatial artificial intelligence
  • Geospatial data visualization
  • Geospatial modeling
  • Health and epidemiological mapping
  • Land use and land cover analysis
  • Spatial data analysis
  • Urban and regional planning
  • Web and mobile GIS

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Applied GIS: Tools, Techniques, and Real-World Solutions” should be selected during your submission.
