Special Issue on
Trends and Prospects in Lasers and Applications
The development of laser technologies
includes low-power lasers, high-power lasers, beam quality for nonlinear
optics, and directed energy weapons. Laser spectroscopy studies range from the
UV band to the THz band, enabling researchers to measure the excited state
molecules and atoms life time, as well as their vibrational and rotational
transitions. THz spectroscopy and imaging, along with laser photoacoustic and
photothermal spectroscopy and tomography, are utilized for biomedical
applications. Ultrafast lasers, with pulse durations ranging from nanoseconds
to attoseconds, are employed in spectroscopy studies and nonlinear optics, as
well as in plasma physics research and remote sensing technologies. Laser
spectroscopy finds applications across various fields, including agriculture,
environmental science, nanotechnology, and quantum technologies such as sensing
and communications.
In this special issue, we invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that
explore Trends and Prospects in Lasers
and Applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
