Special Issue on Mycoplasma

This special issue on “Mycoplasma” will be focusing on the latest development in mycoplasma. Mycoplasma refers to a genus of bacteria that lack a cell wall and are the smallest living cells yet discovered, they can survive without oxygen and are typically about 0.1 µm in diameter. Mycoplasma can be parasitic or saprotrophic and several species of them are pathogenic in humans, including M. pneumoniae, which is an important cause of atypical pneumonia and other respiratory disorders, and M. genitalium, which is believed to be involved in pelvic inflammatory diseases. As one of the most important research fields of scientific research, mycoplasma are of great attractions to researchers.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring mycoplasma. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Mycoplasma
  • Unaffected by antibiotics
  • Pathogenic to humans
  • M. pneumoniae
  • Smallest genomes
  • Detected in cancer cells

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issueunder your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Mycoplasma” should be chosen during your submission.
