 Special Issue on Biological Control

Biological Control is a bioeffector-method of controlling pests (including insects, mites, weeds and plant diseases) using other living organisms. It relies on predation, parasitism, herbivory, or other natural mechanisms, but typically also involves an active human management role. It can be an important component of integrated pest management (IPM) programs. There are three basic types of biological pest control strategies: importation (sometimes called classical biological control), augmentation and conservation. Natural enemies of insect pests, also known as biological control agents, include predators, parasitoids, and pathogens. As one of the most important research fields of human life, biological control is of great attractions to researchers.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring biological control. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Biocontrol
  • Predation control
  • Parasitism control
  • Herbivory control
  • Colonizing ability
  • Natural enemies control
  • Suitable habitat
  • Importation control

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal at Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Biological Control” should be chosen during your submission.

According to the following timetable:
