Special Issue on Urban Planning and Development


Urban planning is to plan the development of urban economic structure, spatial structure and social structure on the premise of development vision, scientific demonstration and expert decision-making. Urban planning is an important part of urban management, the basis of urban construction and management, and the premise of three-stage management of urban planning, urban construction, and urban operation. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Urban Planning and Development.


In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Urban Planning and Development. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:


  • Urban environment and health
  • Urban planning and design
  • Sustainable urban development
  • Challenges in urban management
  • Urban land economics
  • Urban policy and planning
  • Urban regeneration and renewal
  • Urban sprawl: causes, consequences, & policy responses



Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
