Special Issue on Information, Network & Computer Security  

Information security is the practice of preventing unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, inspection, recording or destruction of information. At the core of information security is information assurance, the act of maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) of information, ensuring that information is not compromised in any way when critical issues arise. Network security consists of the policies and practices adopted to prevent and monitor unauthorized access, misuse, modification, or denial of a computer network and network-accessible resources. Computer security is the protection of computer systems from theft or damage to their hardware, software or electronic data, as well as from disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. The field is of growing importance due to increasing reliance on computer systems, the Internet and wireless networks such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and due to the growth of "smart" devices, including smartphones, televisions and the various tiny devices that constitute the Internet of Things.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on Information, Network & Computer Security. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Software reliability and security
• Security architecture and design
• Wireless security
• Encryption and authentication
• Privacy and information technology
• Secure coding
• Cryptographic algorithms and protocols
• Access control
• Secrets management
• Network attack and defense
• Data and network recovery
• Network security and intelligent information processing
• Information security for business

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
