Special Issue on Functional Linguistics
Functionalist linguistic theory is developed on the basis of critical
structuralism and transformational generative linguistics. There are two
meanings of "function" here: one is the external function of language
system, the other is the internal function of language unit in language
structure. Functional linguistics advocates meaning rather than form as the
center of linguistic research. It holds that language is a system of meaning
with which form is used to embody meaning.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring functional linguistics.

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
